Connie Lau (劉慧嫻) was born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated from RMIT University (co-presented with Hong Kong Art School) with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art. Majoring in Painting.

She believes that every tiny thing in daily life has its value of being. With passion for capturing the nuances of everyday life, where is the source of inspiration and materials for her art practice.

Home is a sense of place and full of memories.  Home found objects have a kind of amorphous feeling, since they are carrying our past moments, reflection of  living traces.  She interests to explore this subtle feeling. ​

Through continuous practice with various kind of media: painting, installation, video, collage, image transfer, etc., to charge them with meaning and different ways of seeing.

她相信日常生活中的每一個微小事物都有其存在的意義。家裡的現成物或被棄置的東西往往是她的創作靈感和材料的來源。它們承載著生活的痕跡，過往的經歷。透過不同的媒介: 繪畫、裝置、錄像、拼貼、移印等進行不斷的藝術實踐，賦予它們意義和不同的觀看方式。
